If you are not happy with any service we provide, contact us within 24 hours and we will return to make it right at no additional cost, no questions asked.
1. Our Commitment to You
At ScoobyDoody Waste Busters, we take pride in delivering quality service every visit. Your satisfaction is our top priority. We stand behind every job we complete in Brooks, AB and surrounding areas. If something was not done to your satisfaction, we want to know so we can fix it.
Because our business provides labour-based, time-based, and property-based services, refunds are not automatically available once work has been completed. Each concern is reviewed based on the service booked, actual site conditions, the scope of work agreed to, and the specific issue raised.
2. Service Corrections (Our First Step)
Our preference is always to come back and make it right. If you are unsatisfied with any aspect of a completed service:
- Contact us within 24 hours of the completed service
- Describe the issue and, if possible, send us a photo
- We will schedule a return visit within 48 hours to correct the issue at no additional charge
This applies to all services: pet waste removal, lawn mowing, yard cleanup, junk removal, snow removal, and gutter cleaning. For labour-based services, a correction visit is often the most practical and immediate resolution.
3. Quotes and Final Pricing
Website prices, starting prices, and informal estimates are general pricing references. Final pricing may change depending on actual conditions such as yard size, buildup, access, obstacles, debris amount, load volume, property condition, location, and disposal requirements. A change in final price due to actual job conditions is not, by itself, considered a refund issue.
4. When a Refund May Be Considered
A full or partial refund may be considered at our discretion in situations such as:
- The customer was charged in error or a duplicate payment was made
- A service was paid for but could not be completed due to reasons on our side and no alternative resolution was provided
- There was a clear billing mistake or invoicing error
- A service issue is verified and a refund is determined to be the most reasonable resolution after other options have been considered
5. When a Refund Is Not Available
Refunds are generally not available in situations such as:
- The concern was reported more than 24 hours after service completion
- The customer changes their mind after the service is completed
- The issue was caused by conditions outside our control (weather, pre-existing property damage, inaccessible areas)
- The customer provided inaccurate information that affected the quality or scope of service
- The customer failed to disclose important site conditions, hazards, restricted items, or access issues
- Dissatisfaction with services that were completed as agreed and described in our service scope
- Monthly snow removal packages after service has commenced in that billing month
6. Cancellations, Recurring Services
For recurring services (pet waste removal, lawn mowing, snow removal):
- Cancel anytime with 24 hours notice before your next scheduled visit, no charge
- Cancellations received less than 24 hours before a scheduled visit may result in that visit being charged as normal
- Monthly prepaid packages: cancel with 24 hours notice before the next billing month. No refund for the current month once service has commenced for that month
7. Cancellations, One-Time Services
For one-time services (yard cleanup, junk removal, gutter cleaning):
- Cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment: no charge, full refund of any deposit paid
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment: a $25 late-cancellation fee may apply, deducted from any deposit
- If we are unable to complete the service due to access issues or customer-caused delays, no refund will be issued for time and travel already incurred
8. Deposits and Prepaid Amounts
If a deposit or advance payment is required for a service, the treatment of that payment depends on the timing of cancellation, work already performed, scheduling impact, and whether materials, labour, or route time were already committed. Some deposits may be non-refundable once certain preparation, travel, or scheduling commitments have been made, unless otherwise stated in writing.
9. Junk Removal, Specific Note
Junk removal pricing is based on trailer volume, item type, labour, and disposal requirements. If the actual load is larger, heavier, or more complex than originally described, revised pricing may apply. This is not, by itself, grounds for a refund.
10. Outdoor Services, Specific Note
Outdoor services are affected by weather, existing property conditions, seasonal buildup, and practical on-site limitations. Results are based on reasonable completion of the agreed work, not a guarantee of perfect cosmetic results in every circumstance.

12. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued using the same payment method originally used. Processing times may vary:
- E-transfer refunds: typically within 1–2 business days
- Cash refunds: arranged by mutual agreement
